How You Can Help Us

Manor St. John Youth Service has worked with thousands of young people and their parents since 1978. The Service offers recreational and educational opportunities to all young people who need them.

The most important asset we have is the goodwill of people like YOU!

You can help in many ways both big and small!

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

– Even for an hour a week – help out in one of our clubs for young people – help out on one of our after school IT Literacy Programmes. Organise a fun event to raise money - a sponsored plastic duck race – a 5K walk or run a bed push… call us and tell us about your idea.

SINGLE GIFT

- Gift donations of any amount are always welcome.  Working with the local communities, Manor St. John Youth Service identifies the area where money is most needed.  This might be a specific short event like an after-school Soccer League for boys and girls or a hiking trip for teenge girls. To make a donation you can post a cheque, draft or postal order for the amount, made out to ‘Manor St. John Youth Service’ to the following address: The Manager, Manor St. John Youth Service, Lisduggan, Waterford City, Ireland.

MAJOR DONATIONS

– If you have over €1000 you would like to donate or if you would like to offer help on a regular basis, we would love to work with you - directing your money to the areas where it will have the maximum impact. We prefer to work alongside our supporters, explaining the needs of the young people we work with and the communities they live in. We can supply reports and photos for you or your company detailing where your money was used.  All donations can be aknolwdeged or made privately, it’s your choice as a donor. If you are able to give €1,000 or more, you might find one of our special projects for young people a particularly effective method of helping. We occasionally have grants made for individual projects by government bodies where they agree to match supporter donations, increasing the value of your donation even further!

TAX BACK RELIEF

– Is a very effective way to use your tax repayments to help young people

LEAVE A LEGACY

- You can leave a legacy in your will or alternatively make a donation in memory of a loved one to help us build something lasting for the young people Manor St John Youth Service works with. We will consult with you to agree where the legacy money will be put to the best use.  Legacy donations may also be used to fund existing or establish new programmes and activities. If you would like to find out more about this type of donation then please call the Service Manager on 051 – 372169 to arrange An initial meeting.
