THE ‘NEXT STEPS’ PROGRAMME.

►The ‘MSJ - Next Steps Programme’ is a new and exciting programme developed by Manor of St. John Youth Services - in association with FÁS, the National Training Authority of Ireland.
►The programme is for young people aged between 18 and 25 years of age.
►‘MSJ -Next Steps’ is a full-time programme which will result in a FETAC major award at Level 4.
►There are no entry requirements - but you must be unemployed to participate.

I’M A YOUNG PERSON – WHY SHOULD I TAKE PART IN ‘NEXT STEPS’?
• You will receive the equivalent of Social Welfare entitlement (FÁS training allowance) while you train. If you are not eligible for a Social Welfare allowance you are still welcome to apply but you will not be paid.
• A team of skilled tutors will take you through a series of educational programmes which will be a valuable addition to your CV. Here is a small sample of the skills you will learn cooking, information technology, health & fitness, security industry awareness training, communications skills and much more.
•This is a practical programme where you will learn by doing and you will have a chance to go on job sampling and work experience.
• You will have access to the great facilities in the Manor of St. John campus including a sports hall for basketball, gym, football, outdoor pursuits, a fully equipped IT room, the kitchen and the Manor mini-bus for travel and days trips.
• You will meet with a great bunch of people and learn in a fun environment. At the end of the programme you will have the skills knowledge and attitude required for the workplace challenges of the 21st Century.
• Additional supports for learning and dealing with life situations are provided by the course team.
