As a Community Employment Sponsor, the CE Scheme is an integral part of Manor St John Youth Service. Participants on the Community Employment Scheme work in many roles within our Service including youth-work assistants, maintenance workers, groundskeepers, secretarial workers & receptionists.
Community Employment (CE) programs are a DSP initiative designed to help people who are long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged people to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities. Participants on the scheme gain skills and knowledge through experience and formal training. After the placement, participants are encouraged to seek permanent part-time and full-time jobs elsewhere based new skills they have gained while in a Community Employment scheme.
